Greetings in the Matchless name of Jesus the Christ!
We give glory and praise to God for allowing us to celebrate our 17th year as Pastor and First Lady of the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church Family. It is with great pleasure that my wife, Dr. Rejeaner Joy, and I serve this congregation as your servant leaders. First let me say, we have found the leadership and members of Mt. Vernon to be people filled with love. A people that desires to grow in the word of God. A progressive people striving to make an impact on Madison’s Community and the greater Nashville area.

The VISION.
As we proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ with simplicity, believers will enter into the presence of the Lord and worship God in fullness, live holy lives and spread the gospel of Christ at home and abroad as the hope of all mankind. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we shall carry out the work of the church, creating an atmosphere for God to destroy yokes, remove burdens, pull down strongholds, heal the sick, and set the captive free in the name of Jesus Christ, The Anointed One and His Anointing.
The MISSION STATEMENT.
Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church is a Christ-centered, caring church family in the center of our community. Our mission is to love God and each other, and to share with others the Good News of Jesus Christ as we worship, teach, serve, and nurture spiritual growth. Our mission is to lead souls to Jesus Christ through the Word of God, and by living examples. Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world. A City that sits on a hill cannot be hid.” (Matthew 5:14)
